A staff member told us this particular restaurant has been around for a bit, but don't let the older yet familiar setting, or the older crowd fool you. This is the place for a nice sit down eating experience, especially the famous desserts. It was worth leaving the fast lane of life to eat here. Again, the desserts!

I was in the neighborhood so I stopped by for lunch. I order the francisco burger with onion rings. I really wanted the chicken pot pie but they only serve the mini pot pies now. The burger was very tasty and the onion rings to. Now the piece of pie that I got was smaller than the fork pretty sad and it might have been from yesterday as well. As to the server, ALMA L... FYI I am a BIG tipper because I use to be one many years ago usually 20 % ++ i think today on 5 % tip. She was either having a bad day or stand offish never ask how my meal was and at the end of my meal she poured me a refill of a 1/2 of a glass of ice tea. As to the abeyoncé I believe it needs an update. I will return another day and time to update.

Came here with a guest and ordered soup, salad, and slice of garlic bread. That is traded very well my daughter was rather simple but the food came out well. The server today was Breeana who was a breath of fresh air. She smiled throughout the entire visit and all went well. I'll definitely be back. One thing that should be noted about this particular location, it's definitely a senior citizen's stronghold. Be prepared to show a little more patience than normal.

For Thanksgiving I was in need of some Stuffing and a pie. I preordered some Apple Sage Stuffing and a Lemon Cream Pie. When I got there I was greeted by a very nice lady and she looked up my order and fulfilled it immediately. The service here was great and the food was very good. I would definitely order from them again for any special occasion!

It's hard to explain how foundational a place like Marie Callender's is. Just feels so cozy on the inside. Yes, to some it will feel very outdated. But to me, it feels homey: reasonable prices in a comfortable atmosphere. Service is always great... they always have a lot of direct, old school workers there with fantastic service which is great. Food was great. We had some slices of pie and they were solid. I hope a place like this never closes.

We had last minute out of town guests last night and had to make a quick and easy choice for dinner. It was days before thanksgiving and they serve a roasted turkey dinner plate year round ( just minus the yams ). This worked out so well (wink) With fond memories of their chicken pot pie and strawberry pie dating back to the 80s , it was time to re-visit this popular restaurant chain. I didn't have high expectations for the food and this review is mainly influenced by our server Eva W. who was excellent in taking care of our group of 7 . The menu selection was extensive ; kids were happy with the burgers and mac n cheese. Chili , beef stroganoff were okay . The turkey dinner got a thumbs up . Most orders came with a slice of pie & the pies were a hit . My chocolate satin pie was decadent ! My shepherds pie was missing mashed potatoes and although it was the kitchen's fault (and sent back twice ). Eva made sure it was resolved . Cost of our dinner :Very reasonable Unlike other restaurants, they do not automatically charge a service fee for a large group ! Thank you ! This West LA location had adequate parking space , casual atmosphere and clean enough restroom facilities .

I've been coming to this particular Marie Callendar's for over 40yrs +. I like how the restaurant has made small changes, but still kept some of the classics, like the pot pie. Now you can get a combo with pie?!? And you can't leave without getting pie! If you're too full, take it to go! It's a wonderful family friendly with classic American meals. Pot roast, meatloaf, burgers, salads, and again, the pie!!!! My favorite is definitely the Cobb Salad. I love that it's chopped and mixed with the dressing! You get the perfect bite with the perfect amount of dressing! Definitely recommend if you want a hearty homestyle meal with your family. There's something for everyone.

I've been eating at Marie Callender's since I was a kid so this is a nostalgic place for me. I will say the quality of food has declined from where it used to be years ago, but still, it was an enjoyable meal for us. The interiors looked just like it looked from back when I was a kid so you really feel like you are transported in time dining here. We had not been to a location in about seven years or more, so it was nice to try it again. It's very well-known to have a lot of senior diners and I can say for my visit last night that it is still the same, a majority of the diners were retired. They have a fairly large parking lot so parking is easy and plentiful. Our server was also very polite and even though it took quite a bit for our food items to come out she did a great job. Marie Callender's is known for their pies, so we chose to end our meal with the Strawberry and Cream Pie and the Custard Pie. Between the two, the Strawberry and Cream pie was my favorite, but overall the Cherry Pie is still my top favorite. For my entrée, I chose the Spicy Ortega Chicken Sandwich on Parmesan Sourdough and thought it was actually very good. Was better than I was expecting and I would recommend it. Overall pricing is pretty fair and there are a ton of options on the menu so it would be a good option if you are in the mood for some classic casual American food.
